What data we collect
When you register for SunRun we collect your full name, date of birth, gender, email address, country of residence, and emergency contact details. This information is required to generate your unique SunRun ID and barcode, calculate age-grade scores, and ensure your safety at events.
How we use your data
Your personal data is used solely to operate the SunRun service: publishing your results, calculating rankings, enabling volunteer coordination, and communicating event updates. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers.
Results and public data
Your run results (finish time, position, event, date) are published on the SunRun results page and are publicly accessible by default. You may request that your results be anonymised by contacting us. Your age-grade score is derived from your date of birth and is never published directly.
Data storage and security
All personal data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU. Row-level security policies ensure your data is only accessible to you and authorised administrators. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@sunrun.community. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days and will result in permanent removal of your account and all associated results.
Cookies
SunRun uses strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session after login. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics platforms have access to your session data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of SunRun after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
